HPAC Meeting - 2015/2016 Budget Meeting:  October 6, 7:00-8:00pm

Please plan to attend the HPAC Meeting on October 6th as this is your chance to learn, ask questions and make decisions about HPAC’s budget for the 2015/2016 school year.  Please click the file below for the agenda:

The proposed budget items will be displayed be available for viewing by Friday, October 2nd end of day.  Refreshments will be available and free child minding is available.  We hope to see you at the meeting!

Natural Playground & Outdoor Learning Area

The Oct 6th HPAC budget meeting is when Highlands parent's get to cast their final vote on the future of our Natural Playground project. This exciting project has been over 12 months in the making, with the help and support of Highlands administration, teachers, parents, students and the North Vancouver School District.

If the project gets a majority yes vote by HPAC parent members on Oct 6th, then HPAC will kick off a large scale fundraising effort to try to get this project built in Spring-Summer 2016! This could mean our empty gravel field would have a new natural playground area with new shade trees, logs, boulders, native plantings and several outdoor learning areas including a covered teaching shelter!

Click on the following link:  Highlands-Natural Playground-Learning to view the project proposal and please come out to vote on Oct 6th!

Family Photo Fundraiser - Deadline to Sign Up:  October 9th

The sign up sheets for the Family Photos Fundraiser are now posted on the HPAC Board outside of the office.  We recommend signing up quickly as time slots are filling up fast.  Deadline to sign up is Friday, October 9th

Your photo session will be reserved once payment of sitting fee has been received.  Cash or cheques (made payable to HPAC) will be accepted.

This year we have partnered up with HT Photography (htphotog.com) to offer our Family Photos.  This is a NEW company so for those who were not completely satisfied last year, rest assured we made some changes.

Photos will be taken on October 14, 15 & 16th from 5:00pm – 9:00pm and each session is 15 minutes long.  100% of the $25 sitting fee goes directly back to our school.

Each family has an opportunity to have several different poses taken and will receive one complimentary 8 x 10 portrait of their choice.  Additional photos will be available for purchase online.  Proofs and final photos will be ready for families before the holidays, making it a great Christmas gift or holiday card idea for family and friends.

Thank you for your support of this wonderful school fundraiser!  Contact Debbie Chang (debbiekaychang@shaw.ca) for any questions.
