Welcome to Highlands’ 2012/2013
Welcome to all new and returning families. Highlands Parent Advisory Council (HPAC) is comprised of parent volunteers and there are many opportunities to get involved around the school.
Our Mission
The mission of the Highlands Parent Advisory Council (HPAC) is to improve the well-being of children attending Highlands school by:

sustaining a high level of parent involvement, and
-
providing educational benefits above and beyond those offered by the Ministry of Education.
The scope of the HPAC’s work includes fundraising, parent education and the promotion of healthy families.
The HPAC is guided by a strong sense of school community, actively collaborating with parents and seeking the input of the school administration, staff and district.
HPAC Monthly Meetings
Our HPAC meetings are held on the 4th Tuesday of every month, 7:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the Library, with complimentary babysitting available in the school during the meeting time. We encourage you to join us, stay informed, network with other parents and have a say in what happens at our school. The minutes are posted on our HPAC website, and on the HPAC board outside the school office.

- Thoughtstream Results - We are excited to share the ideas that were gathered and prioritized by our parent community. The Thoughtstream team has helped us to convey the results in a fabulous web page format. Please check it out.
